Funding Focus
The deadline to submit an Expression of Interest has now passed. RADF is not accepting any new funding applications. Organizations that had Expressions of Interest approved have until February 28, 2010 to submit a full proposal. There is a total of $5 million available.
The program criteria and guidelines have not changed. Nor has our funding focus which remains fixed on supporting programs that:
- Are new and innovative
- Involve partners and collaboration
- Are sustainable and transferable
- Will have positive, long-term impacts on rural people and communities
RADF will only consider projects that contribute to the growth, prosperity or quality of life of rural Alberta. We are particularly interested in considering projects that fit and build community capacity. Project applicants must provide 25% or more of the overall cost of the project. Our minimum contribution level is $50,000 and the maximum is $5 million. There are restrictions on eligible costs and contributions
RADF will consider a wide spectrum of projects but they must respond to one or more of the following activity areas or pillars:
- Economic growth
- Community capacity, quality of life and infrastructure
- Rural health delivery
- Learning and skill development
