Rural Alberta’s Development Fund protects and respects the privacy of personal information. The Fund will ensure that information provided to the Fund remains private and is only used for the purposes explained in this policy.

1. Personal information may be collected by Rural Alberta’s Development Fund for the purpose of facilitating communications, processing and evaluating any grant, funding or other applications for assistance and other reasonable purposes consistent with the objectives of the Fund.

However, if consent is denied or withdrawn, the Fund may not be able to process funding or other applications for assistance, or be able to provide funding or other assistance applied for or requested.

7. The Fund provides individuals with access to the personal information held by the Fund about such individuals in accordance with applicable laws. The Fund reserves the right to require that any request for access to personal information be made in writing. Generally, there is no cost for such access. However, the Fund reserves the right to charge such costs on a case by case basis in accordance with applicable laws. The individual will be notified in advance if such charges apply.
8. The Fund will correct or amend personal information where it can be shown that the information is incorrect or incomplete.
Confidentiality
9. The Fund strives to protect confidential information, personal information and intellectual property collected by the Fund.
10. The Fund uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that appropriate policies, procedures and safeguards (including physical, technological and organizational measures) are in place that protect the security of personal information under its control.

The Fund is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. Users should be aware of possible risks and read the privacy statements of other websites that collect identifiable information.
